THE PRIESTLY MINISTRY

Joshua 3:17 Meanwhile, the priests who were carrying the Ark of the lord’s Covenant stood on dry ground in the middle of the riverbed as the people passed by. They waited there until the whole nation of Israel had crossed the Jordan on dry ground.

A lot of things were happening when the people of Israel had to cross the Jordan River to enter Jericho to possess the land given to them by God. The miracle of the parting of the river Jordan had just happened and the people were filled with awe and families were busily looking out for each other and getting to go and possess the promised land.

Amid these happenings, the priests of the most High God had to stay focused and execute their priestly assignment. Their roles were critical in fulfilling God's agenda for His people.
Revelation 1:5 -6 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father —to him be glory and power forever and ever! Amen. You also as a child of God have been made a priest through Christ Jesus and you have a critical role to play in fulfilling God's end-time agenda.

One clear assignment that was carried out by the priest is the carrying of the Ark of the Lord's Convenient which represents the presence of God. As a priest of God, you carry God's presence wherever you go. You must have that burden that I need to take God where I am. A priest of God must also have patience in waiting. The people were moving but the priests were waiting carrying God's presence. Your patient perseverance makes way for a lot of people in the kingdom of God. As a believer in Christ Jesus you are a priest don't be in haste. Carry His presence, make way for others and your time will surely come.

Prayer: Holy Spirit fill me up till I overflow with your presence wherever I find myself. Grant me the Grace I need to walk and wait on you in Jesus' name. Amen.
