EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL DOES NOT WORK ON HIM

Luke 23:35 And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

The devil is not smart at all as he thinks himself to be. He thinks is good at emotional intelligence but he is an F student in that field as well as many other areas. In his personal confrontation with Jesus Christ, he used emotional blackmail to try to get Jesus Christ to disobey God. That was the trick he played of our first parents Adam and Eve. The devil always comes to present himself as the angel of light trying to play with minds and hearts with questions and facts clothed in lies. Did God say this, is that the reality? This is how the devil played it out in his encounter with Jesus Christ.

Matthew 4:3 The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus' response to this is found in  Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: ’Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Jesus Christ is more concerned about what is written than emotions and feelings. In his trying times at the peak when his integrity was questioned the devil used the masses to play the same emotional and mind games with Jesus Christ. He saved others let him save himself. Wow, what a good opportunity to display power. It would have been dubbed "You called for it and you have it" No Jesus Christ will have none of that, He is not a scientist seeking to prove a point. He is God resolute in executing His mission on earth. So yes the Saviour could not save himself. Then finally the devil plays his last card as Jesus Christ was hanged between the two thieves. Luke 23:39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!" A request gone bad!

He was sarcastic but the answer of the other criminal will answer all who keep saying if God is up there, yet people are dying, innocent children, natural disasters, etc. But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don’t you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." Beloved God is not our enemy we are. We are getting what we deserve. He created a beautiful earth and gave it to us and handed down His word to us a manual for living but we say we won't have any of that. Yes, He is God! He doesn't have to do anything to prove that to anyone. In our confusion and the mess is Jesus Christ.  You have a choice to make about this Jesus Christ. Is either you hurl at Him or believe in Him. I beseech you to go for the latter for that is your salvation. John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Prayer: Jesus Christ I shift the blame game to taking personal responsibility. Jesus Christ I believe in you remember my plight and save me. Amen.
