THE SURETY OF THE BLESSING

Isaiah 51:1-2 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn;  look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many
.

Most often our present circumstances can talk us out of God's blessings. If we look at ourselves we have nothing and there is no evidence to show. But God gives us a reference point through the father and mother of faith Abraham and Sarah. When God called Abraham he was only one, but now he is blessed and has become the father of many many nation. Why did Abraham become righteous? Genesis 15:6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. Our text today can be put this way, all who believe in God and seek the Lord if you look at what God did Abraham, God can do the same for you. In the next verse, the Bible says Isaiah 51:3 The LORD will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving, and the sound of singing. Don't despise your current state if one man has become many nations that one thing you have shall surely multiply and become many.

Prayer: The God that made Abraham great I pray to you that let that same mercy and Grace locate in Jesus' name the end reward. Amen
