THE BEST TEACHER'S PLIGHT

Isaiah 48:17-18 This is what the LORD says — your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.

From our text today, The Almighty God was saddened by the current state of His followers the people of Isreal. They had missed out on the promises of God and they lived contrary to God's promise for their lives. And God had to remind them He was their best teacher that their lives would have been better only if they had listened to Him. This is the plight of God. Our lives would have been better if obeyed Him. The reason for our suffering is that we have disobeyed God. It started with our earthly parents Adam and Eve. Despite the dire consequences their actions had on humanity, we also continue to disobey God. Our lives would be better if we obey God.

Prayer: Father in Jesus' name give me Grace to fully obey you in Jesus' name. Amen.
