MONEY AND BRIBE

Psalms 15:5 Those who lend money to the poor without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.

"Money is a test and a trust" Rick Warren. Money answers all things. Meaning it has the power to answer good and evil but Jesus gave this caveat. Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other.

You cannot serve both God and money. One way to remain firm in the Lord is when your money answers to God; thus, the way you earn it and use it is in line with the precepts of God. Another way you remain firm in the Lord is when you don't take brides.

Exodus 23:8 “Take no bribes, for a bribe makes you ignore something that you clearly see. A bribe makes even a righteous person twist the truth. Proverbs 17:8 A bribe is a charm in the sight of its owner; Wherever he turns, he prospers.
When you take a bribe, you lose the power to say no. Bribes make you lie in the face of the truth. It is a twister of truth.

Say no to bribes because you have the power to say no. Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.

Prayer: Father, forgive me for compromising because of bribes. Have mercy on me; from today, I receive the grace to say No to bribes in Jesus' name. Amen!
