FOLLOWING

Psalms 16:3 The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!

Today everyone and anything is seeking followership. The world has taken one of Christ's vocabularies and has corrupted it. It is the nature of the Devil to twist God's word.  Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and created things rather than the Creator — who is forever praised.

Matthew 4:17&19 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” When Jesus Christ called the three brothers to follow Him, He was preaching about the Kingdom of God. This is what needs followership.

Your reason for following anyone or anything must be that you want to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Psalms 16:4 tells us about the danger of following other things rather than Jesus Christ and advises us on what to do. Psalms 16:4 Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods. I will not take part in their sacrifices of blood or even speak the names of their gods.

Following the wrong people and things brings us trouble. If you are truthful to yourself, you will know that some people and things you have been following are giving you trouble. It is time to unfollow them to follow Jesus Christ for your freedom. 1st Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. If what you are following is not following Christ Jesus, unfollow.

Prayer: Father, from today I decided to follow Jesus Christ and those who follow me. Holy Spirit, help me to unfollow anything that is anti-Christ in Jesus' name. Amen!
