GOD'S ASSESSMENT SCHEME

Psalms 17:3 You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing wrong. I am determined not to sin in what I say.

Waoo! This is a man's testimony about Himself before God. No one dares to lie before the Lord. Even in his night seasons, which represent his tough and difficult moments, he kept a clean sheet with God. When God is assessing you He is looking at your heart and thoughts.

1Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Have this in mind: If you are dealing with Human beings, you can always put up an outward show to sail through, but when does God forget it? God is not impressed and cannot be impressed with the outward. If you seek to impress God and be blameless in sight like David, then yield your heart and thoughts to His will. That is how God is impressed. Which do you prefer?

The praises of God or the praises of men? If you want the praises of men, then keep putting on the outward show, but if you want to be praised by God' then work on your heart and thoughts. Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

Prayer: Father, I submit my heart and thoughts to you, yielding it to your word. Holy Spirit teach me daily and correct any transgressions and thoughts that may come from my heart.
