THE CURSED ONES

Galatians 1:8 Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you.

We have different forms of curses. Humans can invoke curses on you, and God also invokes curses. A curse is a sanction laid upon people, animals, things, or places through word of mouth or other mediums without hope of being redeemed therefore a person or thing is doomed for destruction when brought under a curse. If a human being or any other medium curses you can run to God for deliverance but if God curses who can cure you but Himself?

The severest of all curses is when you are under the curse of God. Who will save you? God's curse is unleashed when you say, believe, and act upon anything He has not said in His word. This is what Paul is calling a different kind of Gospel. The misinterpretation of God's word, the disobedience of God's word, and the application of wrong beliefs invoke God's curse upon a people. In Genesis, the book of Beginnings, verses thirteen to nineteen, Adam, Eve, and the serpent were all cursed by God for disobeying His word. In our days Jesus Christ is the way to the Father. We are not practicing Mosaic laws or any other religious rituals. Salvation is in the name of Jesus Christ alone.

Acts 4:10 -12 Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” If you are not preaching this and you are preaching any other thing God's curse is falling upon you. And if you are also not believing this and you are believing any other thing God's curse is also upon you. Make a turn and preach the Gospel as it is.

Prayer: Holy Spirit me insight to understand the Gospel of Christ Jesus to be able to preach it well and believe it well that I may not come under your curse in Jesus' name. Amen.
