SLAY QUEEN FOR A SEASON AND A REASON

Isaiah 47:7-8 You thought, 'I will reign forever as queen of the world!' You did not care at all about my people or think about the consequences of your actions.
"You are a pleasure-crazy kingdom, living at ease and feeling secure, bragging as if you were the greatest in the world! You say, 'I'm self-sufficient and not accountable to anyone! I will never be a widow or lose my children.'

Ecclesiastes 1:9 That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. The world has seen different queens rise and fall.  Those whose lifestyles were honourable and those who lived reckless and worthless lives. In the Bible, we have a number of them, queen Vashti, queen Athaliah, queen Sheba, queen Jezebel, queen Esther, queen Candace of Ethiopia etc. 
Queen's rule along with their kings advising and sharing their opinions on issues. One queen who stood out in her generation and lived a life worth emulating was queen Esther. Today in our study the great nation of its time Babylon has been personified as a queen.
Queens rule and reign but is it only for a season and they rule to seek the welfare or well-being of the people. Don't ever think you will reign forever.
Even the queen of the Bible who is admired by all nearly fell into this error, but her uncle reoriented her on her role as a queen. Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"

To slay simply to kill, murder, eradicate or stamp out, to defeat or overcome, to amaze or stun. As a beautiful and honoured slay queen your whole is not to destroy people's marriages, and to fill social media platforms with nude pictures that is not the role of queens but harlots. We have a queen like Jezebel who used her position to acquire the properties of innocent people.
And queen Herodias influenced her daughter to ask for the head of John the Baptist on a platter. We have other queens in the Bible who did use their bodies or position to get ill gains. Queen Sheba, queen Esther and queen Candace of Ethiopia were virtuous women who through hard work, diligence and wisdom proclaimed justice for the innocent and made genuine wealth for themselves.
You can be a better version of today's queen. Be a queen with godly standards and virtues pleasing your maker. You will not live forever and reign forever. Remember I wanna be forever young is a wish not a reality.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ give a godly understanding of my role as a queen and help Holy Spirit to do all that you have ordained me to do in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
